Hospital art program aims to get surgery patients out of bed faster
NCT ID NCT06893848
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether placing art posters with QR codes in hospital hallways can encourage patients to get up and move more after chest or belly surgery. About 204 patients will wear activity trackers for five days after surgery, and some will experience the art program while others receive standard care. The goal is to see if a more pleasant hospital environment can reduce the time spent lying in bed and improve recovery.
