First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at whether certain proteins called beta-arrestins can help predict how well people with major depression will respond to the antidepressant venlafaxine. Researchers measured these proteins in the blood of 67 participants before and during treatment, and tracked their depression symptoms over three months. The goal was to find a simple blood test that could guide personalized depression treatment.
