Summary
This study tests three different sleep medicines (propofol, ketamine, and a mix of both) to find which one works best for placing a breathing tube quickly and safely in people having emergency surgery. About 1,200 adults at risk of stomach contents entering the lungs will take part. The goal is to see which drug leads to successful tube placement on the first try without causing a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
