New drug cocktail shows promise for Hard-to-Treat prostate cancer

Summary
This study tests a new drug (berzosertib) combined with standard chemotherapy (carboplatin) in men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer that has spread and stopped responding to hormone therapy. The goal is to see if this combination shrinks tumors or lowers PSA levels better than the usual chemo combo. About 73 participants will receive either the new combo or standard treatment, and researchers will track response rates and how long the cancer stays controlled.
