First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding two immune-suppressing drugs (belimumab and rituximab) to standard therapy can improve skin fibrosis in people with early, severe diffuse scleroderma. About 30 adults will receive either the drug combination or placebo injections, while all continue taking mycophenolate. The main goal is to see if the combination reduces skin hardening and improves overall disease activity over 12 months.
