New study tests GLP-1 drug alongside therapy for binge eating disorder

Summary
This study looks at whether adding a GLP-1 appetite suppressant to behavioral therapy helps people with severe obesity and binge eating disorder. About 80 adults will be split into two groups: one gets the drug plus therapy, the other gets therapy alone. Researchers will track changes in binge eating, weight, and mental health over 12 months.
