First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tested a therapy called behavioral activation (BA) for veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) who also have depression. BA helps people set goals and plan meaningful activities to improve mood. 46 veterans were split into two groups: one received BA plus usual care, the other only usual care. The goal was to see if BA is practical and helpful for reducing depression and improving community reintegration.
