NCT ID NCT04577339
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked back at the hospital records of 2500 adults who had a serious belly emergency (like a blocked or torn bowel) between 2013 and 2020. The goal was to see which treatments—surgery, non-surgical care, or comfort-focused care—led to the best survival and recovery. By grouping patients with similar health profiles, researchers hope to help doctors choose the right care path for each person in the future.
