Summary
This study compares how often bowel obstruction occurs after two types of appendix removal surgery: open appendectomy and laparoscopic appendectomy. Fifty people with acute appendicitis will be randomly assigned to one of the two procedures. The goal is to see whether the minimally invasive laparoscopic approach lowers the risk of future bowel blockages compared to traditional open surgery.
