Scientists uncover key role of BCAAs in muscle and metabolism
NCT ID NCT06218264
First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at how branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) help build muscle and process sugar in healthy young adults. Twenty-four volunteers drank a mix of amino acids, with or without BCAAs, to see how their muscles responded. The goal was to better understand how these nutrients work, not to treat any disease.
