New oral drug trial offers hope for Tough-to-Treat cancers

NCT ID NCT05827614

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new oral medication called BBI-355, both alone and in combination with other drugs, for people with advanced solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard treatments. The study aims to find safe doses and see if the treatment can shrink tumors in cancers like triple-negative breast, ovarian, pancreatic, and lung cancers. Participants must have cancers with specific genetic changes called oncogene amplifications and have exhausted other treatment options.
