Can weight loss surgery sharpen your mind?
NCT ID NCT05215886
Summary
This study aims to understand if bariatric (weight loss) surgery can help improve memory and thinking skills in people with severe obesity. Researchers will enroll 9,500 participants, some with and some without cognitive issues, to track changes in brain function after surgery. The goal is to gather knowledge about the link between weight loss and cognitive health, not to directly treat participants.
