Summary
This study compares two procedures—balloon dilation and per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM)—to see which works better for children with achalasia, a condition where the esophagus doesn't relax properly, making swallowing difficult. About 70 children aged 3 to 17 will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments and followed for a year. The goal is to find which approach provides longer-lasting relief with fewer complications.
