Hemophilia Patients' balance under the microscope
NCT ID NCT07243912
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study measured static and dynamic balance in 41 adults with hemophilia and 40 healthy volunteers using a special platform. Researchers also looked at how joint health, physical activity, and fear of movement affect balance. The goal is to understand why balance may be worse in hemophilia and what factors contribute, which could guide future therapy.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this research could help design better physical therapy programs to improve balance and prevent falls in people with hemophilia.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed observational study, not a treatment trial. Findings may not apply to all people with hemophilia and do not test any intervention.
