Teen scoliosis study reveals how back muscles behave during special exercises
NCT ID NCT05961228
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how back muscles work in 25 teenagers with mild to moderate scoliosis (15-40 degree curves). Researchers used ultrasound to measure muscle thickness at rest and during exercise, both with and without special corrections based on the Schroth method. The goal was to understand muscle asymmetry and how targeted exercises might affect it, but this was an observational study, not a treatment trial.
