Could a simple back brace reduce ER painkiller prescriptions?
NCT ID NCT03829631
Summary
This study is testing if wearing a supportive back brace for four weeks can help people who go to the emergency room for common low back pain. Researchers want to see if the brace reduces pain, improves movement, and decreases the need for painkillers like opioids. They are comparing 152 people who get a brace to those who receive standard care without one.
