First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether combining text message support for pregnant women who smoke with special training for their doctors can help them quit. About 840 women at Duke and Pitt will take part. All receive smoking cessation texts, and some doctors get extra counseling training. The goal is to see if this approach leads to more women quitting smoking during pregnancy.
