Scientists seek better tests for 'Automatic Body' breakdown
NCT ID NCT03648905
Summary
This study aims to improve the tests used to diagnose chronic autonomic failure, a condition where the body's automatic functions like blood pressure control stop working properly. Researchers will enroll about 89 adults with conditions like Parkinson's disease, multiple system atrophy, or specific types of nerve damage, along with healthy volunteers for comparison. Participants undergo various tests, including scans, blood draws, and skin biopsies, to help researchers find better biomarkers for diagnosis and understand how these diseases progress over time.
