Robot insulin pumps tested in hospitals to control blood sugar

NCT ID NCT06418880

Summary

This study tested whether an automated insulin delivery system could better control blood sugar in hospitalized adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes compared to standard insulin injections. 130 participants were randomly assigned to use either the automated system or receive standard injections for up to 10 days. The main goal was to see if the automated system kept blood sugar in a safe range more often and reduced dangerous lows.
