Can a computer reminder system keep IBD patients healthier?

NCT ID NCT07167836

Summary

This study is testing whether a new automated tool in the electronic medical record can help patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) get their follow-up appointments on time. The goal is to see if better, more timely follow-up care leads to fewer hospital visits, less need for steroid medications, and fewer surgeries. The study will involve about 1,000 patients who are already receiving care at the UT Southwestern clinic.
