First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at stored urine and blood samples from 600 first-time mothers to find early signs that might predict autism in their children. Researchers will check for pesticides and other chemicals in the mother's urine, and study certain substances in the blood. The goal is to build a model that could estimate a child's autism risk right at birth. No treatments or interventions are being tested.
