Summary

This study tested whether playing an augmented reality game called SpellBound can reduce pain and the need for opioid painkillers in children aged 5 to 15 who are having surgery for cancer. The 29 participants were kids who had never used opioids before. The goal was to see if the game could make recovery less painful and reduce reliance on strong medications.
