New combo therapy targets hard-to-treat sarcoma

NCT ID NCT06528769

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether combining two drugs—ATRA and cemiplimab—can shrink or control advanced leiomyosarcoma that has stopped responding to standard treatments. About 16 adults with metastatic or locally advanced, inoperable leiomyosarcoma will receive ATRA pills for 3 days before each cemiplimab infusion, then cemiplimab alone until the disease worsens or side effects become too severe. The main goal is to see how many patients' tumors shrink significantly.
