MS stem cell transplant study: tracking immune reboot after treatment

NCT ID NCT07635693

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study follows 20 adults with multiple sclerosis who are already scheduled for a stem cell transplant. Researchers will measure levels of an immune-suppressing drug called ATLG and track how the immune system rebuilds itself afterward. The goal is to learn more about immune recovery and viral infections, not to test a new treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

ATLG (anti-T-lymphocyte globulin)

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could help doctors better understand how the immune system recovers after stem cell transplant in MS, potentially improving future treatment protocols.

What could go wrong

This is a small observational study, not a treatment trial. It will not directly test whether ATLG or the transplant works for MS, so results may not change current care.
