Home brain zaps tested for stubborn depression
NCT ID NCT07217223
Summary
This study is testing whether a type of gentle brain stimulation, called tDCS, can be safely done at home by people with depression that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Ten participants will self-administer the 20-minute stimulation sessions at home, five times a day for two weeks, while being supervised remotely by researchers. The main goal is to see if this home-based approach is practical and safe, while also checking if it helps improve mood and changes brain activity.
