New drug cocktail aims to halt deadly blood cancer progression

Summary
This study tests whether adding iadademstat to standard ASTX727 therapy improves outcomes for people with advanced myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), a group of blood cancers. About 62 adults with accelerated or blast-phase MPNs will be randomly assigned to receive ASTX727 alone or with iadademstat. The goal is to see if the combination leads to a complete leukemia-free response and longer survival without relapse.
