Summary

This study tests a short therapy program (ASSIP-OA) designed to prevent suicide in adults aged 65 and older who have recently attempted suicide or had serious suicidal thoughts. About 132 participants will receive either the program plus usual care or usual care alone. Researchers will track new suicide attempts and deaths over two years to see if the program saves lives.
