Summary
This study looked at whether aspirin or a diabetes drug called an SGLT2 inhibitor (like dapagliflozin) could improve liver health in people with type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). 80 adults completed the 6-month study. Researchers measured changes in liver enzymes, blood fats (cholesterol), and liver stiffness using a special scan called FibroScan. The goal was to see which treatment better helps control liver damage and improve metabolic health.
