New pill aims to cool menopause hot flashes without hormones

Summary
This study tests a new drug called asimadoline (TP0052) for women aged 40-62 with moderate to severe hot flashes and night sweats. About 120 women will take either the drug or a placebo for 8 weeks, then everyone gets the drug for 4 more weeks. The goal is to see if it safely reduces the number and severity of these symptoms.
