Summary

This study looked at whether artificial sweeteners like Equal (aspartame) and Splenda (sucralose) raise blood sugar in adults with prediabetes. Fourteen participants ate controlled breakfasts with or without sweeteners, and their glucose levels were tracked for two hours. The goal was to see if these sweeteners affect glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity.
