Summary
This small study tested whether people with chronic pain and opioid problems would actually do art on their own at home, and if it helped their pain and mood. Thirty-one adults completed surveys before and after up to four art sessions. The results suggest that self-guided artmaking is acceptable and may reduce anxiety and improve feelings of connection.
