This study looked at whether people with chronic pain and opioid use disorder would regularly do art on their own at home. 31 adults tried self-directed artmaking and reported how it affected their pain, mood, and anxiety. The goal was to see if this simple, drug-free activity is both acceptable and helpful for managing symptoms.
