Sniff away stress: aromatherapy trial for breast cancer patients

Summary

This study tests whether inhaling scents from Asian plants can reduce distress and anxiety in breast cancer patients about to start radiotherapy. 300 adults with breast cancer will use aromatherapy and have their stress levels, anxiety, and stress hormones measured. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free approach can help patients feel calmer before treatment.
