First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested a new ultrasound technique called ARFI to measure liver stiffness in 109 people, including healthy volunteers and patients with liver conditions like fibrosis, cirrhosis, or hepatitis. The goal was to establish normal stiffness values and see how consistent the measurements are. The approach uses a standard ultrasound probe to examine specific areas of the liver in real time.
