First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at adults who survived acute respiratory failure (ARF) and the family or friends who help them recover at home. Researchers want to see if what survivors and their care partners expect during the first 6 months of recovery is linked to their mental health. About 235 pairs will complete three surveys over 6 months, answering questions about their feelings, mood, and expectations.
