First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested whether augmented reality (AR) glasses can help children aged 7-9 feel less pain and anxiety during a dental numbing injection. 108 children were split into four groups: some watched cartoons, some played video games on AR glasses, and some did both. The results showed that using AR glasses, especially with games before the injection, helped children stay calmer and experience less pain.
