Doctors test new breathing machine setting for cancer surgery patients

NCT ID NCT07111039

Summary

This small pilot study aims to learn if a different setting on the breathing machine (APRV) works better than the standard setting (CMV) to support patients' lungs during robotic surgery for gynecologic or urinary tract cancers. The study will enroll 12 patients to compare how well the two methods help the lungs work during anesthesia. The goal is to gather information to potentially improve breathing support during these operations.
