Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app plus a monitoring system could help people with rheumatoid arthritis manage disease flares between doctor visits. 190 adults with RA who owned a smartphone and took RA medications participated. The system included a dashboard for doctors and a trained monitor who alerted healthcare providers when patients reported worsening symptoms. The goal was to improve patient satisfaction and disease control.
