Phone app pays people to stay clean in drug treatment

NCT ID NCT05766631

Summary

This study is testing if a smartphone app can help people who use both opioids and cocaine stay in methadone treatment longer and use drugs less often. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either standard methadone treatment or the same treatment plus the app. The app asks for random drug tests and gives small cash rewards for tests that show no opioid or cocaine use.
