New pill shows promise for early arthritis relief

Summary
This study tests an experimental oral drug called AP1189, taken alongside methotrexate, for people recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis who have not yet tried disease-modifying drugs. The goal is to see if AP1189 can better control joint inflammation and disease activity over 12 weeks compared to a placebo. About 240 adults with early, active RA will participate.
