Summary
This study tracks 800 adults across Asia-Pacific who need minimally invasive colorectal surgery. Half will have the removed tissue taken out through a natural opening (anus or vagina), the other half through a small cut in the belly. Researchers will compare how many develop hernias at the extraction site within two years, along with infection rates and recovery. The study does not assign treatment—it simply observes what happens in routine care.
