Scientists measure aortic tissue strength to prevent deadly ruptures
NCT ID NCT07453251
First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at pieces of the aorta (the main artery from the heart) that are removed during surgery in people with an aortic aneurysm. Researchers will test how strong the tissue is and how it stretches, to better understand when an aneurysm might burst. The goal is to improve predictions of rupture risk and help guide future treatments.
