First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested the antibiotic ceftolozane-tazobactam in 17 people with blood cancers or who had a stem cell transplant and developed a serious Pseudomonas infection. The goal was to see if the drug could help patients survive and clear the infection within 30 days. Participants received the antibiotic through a vein for 10 to 14 days. The study was stopped early, but the results help doctors understand how to treat these dangerous infections in high-risk patients.
