New device aims to keep Surgeons' view clear during Nose-to-Brain tumor surgery

NCT ID NCT07316101

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a new anti-fog drainage device that helps keep the camera lens clear during endoscopic pituitary tumor surgery. About 20 adults with pituitary adenoma or craniopharyngioma will either get the device or the usual water-squirt method. Researchers will measure how much time the surgeon saves from lens fogging and whether the device reduces the risk of brain-fluid infection.
