Scientists test 'Fountain of Youth' pill in humans
NCT ID NCT05835999
Summary
This study is testing whether a low dose of a drug called everolimus, taken daily or weekly for 24 weeks, can safely improve signs of aging in older adults who have insulin resistance (a pre-diabetic condition). Researchers will measure changes in metabolism, heart health, brain function, and physical ability in 106 participants aged 55-80. The goal is to see if this approach can help people age more healthily and reduce the risk of age-related diseases.
