Ankle hearing test may spot hidden ear disorder
NCT ID NCT07384091
First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study aims to see if a simple hearing test at the ankle (ankle audiometry) can identify superior canal dehiscence syndrome (SCDS) in people who hear their own body sounds or have pulsatile tinnitus. About 30 adults aged 18-64 will take the test. If successful, it could offer a quick, non-invasive way to diagnose this condition.
