Early walking after heart procedure may be safe and more comfortable
NCT ID NCT03142126
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether patients who had a heart catheterization with an Angioseal closure device can safely get up and walk sooner instead of lying flat for hours. Researchers compared early walking to the standard longer bed rest to see if it is just as safe while improving patient comfort and reducing hospital costs. The study involved 28 adults undergoing diagnostic left heart catheterization.
