Study asks: can heart patients get up faster after procedure?

NCT ID NCT03142126

Summary

This study tested whether patients could safely walk sooner after a heart catheterization procedure using a special closure device called Angioseal. Researchers compared the standard approach of keeping patients lying flat for hours against letting them walk within 20 minutes. The goal was to see if early walking was just as safe while improving patient comfort and potentially reducing hospital costs.
