First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the kind of anesthesia used during lung cancer surgery affects the chances of the cancer coming back. About 5,384 people having surgery for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either inhaled gas anesthesia or intravenous (IV) propofol anesthesia. Researchers will track how long participants stay cancer-free after surgery to see if one method is better.
