Early trial tests drug to boost blood counts in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT04582539

Summary

This early-phase study tested a new drug called INCB000928 to see if it could safely treat anemia (low red blood cells) in people with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) or multiple myeloma. The main goals were to find a safe dose and see if the drug could reduce the need for blood transfusions or raise hemoglobin levels. The trial was small and ended early, so its effectiveness is not fully known.
