Summary
This study looked at whether two diabetes medications, metformin and empagliflozin, can safely improve metabolic problems (like fat distribution and blood sugar) in people who received a kidney transplant. 105 adults with stable kidney function were randomly assigned to one of three groups. The goal was to see if these drugs could reduce heart disease risk, a major concern after transplant.
